You can enjoy the goodness of chocolate brownies and sneak in some protein too! These healthy chocolate protein brownies are here to make your taste buds happy and your tummy even happier. In this blog post, we’ll show you how to make these treats – they’re simple, tasty, and good for you!

  • 1/2 cup of your preferred protein powder (chocolate or vanilla) mine can be found here
  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup of almond flour or whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt or unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup of honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup of unsweetened almond butter or peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp of baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • Optional add-ins: dark chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or a swirl of nut butter

Instructions:

  • Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the protein powder, cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, and a pinch of salt. Mix them together well.
  • Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt (or applesauce), honey (or maple syrup), almond butter (or peanut butter), egg, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.
  • Mix It All Together: Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Stir until you have a thick, smooth batter.
  • Add Your Touch: If you like, include extras like dark chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or a swirl of nut butter.
  • Bake It Up: Pour the batter into your prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
