3 Simple Tips for Weight Loss

There are way too many gimmicky quick fixes for weight loss these days. Fad diets, diet pills, workout weight loss programs you name it, it exists. Yes, I have tried them all. Any fad diet out there and almost all exercise weight loss programs, check, HCG injections, check. Yeah, its true. Unfortunately, nothing worked for me. All quick fixes put me in a downward spiral, wanting something easier, quicker and better results. Always searching, is very exhausting and time consuming. So many options out there but very few of them will get you lasting results.
Let’s remember the basics, the foundation in which everything is built, master these 3 things first and you’ll , while feeling better while on the way. To reading your goals.

1.Sleep

Aim to get 7-9 hours of sleep per day. Create a consistent sleep schedule to where you are going to bed and waking up around the same time every day. Your bedroom should be your sanctuary. Try and keep it clutter free. Implement a power hour into your schedule, where you put down your devices, turn of tvs an hour before bed. Keep the temperature to your liking. Use essential oils, anything that helps you relax before bed. Stretch, yoga, read, face mask… after a day of chasing around the kids maybe all you need is a bed and the rest is history… until the kids wake up the morning.

2. Water

Drink more water! All day, every day. First thing in the morning, drink a glass of water. Feeling sluggish in the afternoon, drink a glass of water. Dehydration can mask itself as fatigue. Our bodies are made of water and need water to function. It has so many nutritional benefits and is absolutely vital to weight loss. Water will also help reduce your appetite and reduce cravings. Find a water bottle that you enjoy and that you can take with you. Drink up and refill often.

3. Protein

Eat protein at every meal. Proteins help you feel fuller longer. It helps balance your blood sugar by slowing down digestion. It can help reduce sugar cravings and help you feel more satiated. Eat a palm size portion at every meal. Try to include a variety of proteins in your rotation.

Build your foundation with sleep, water and protein. Be consistent.
